Getting Started

How do I install SyncPoint?
Download the installer from the Get Started page and run it. It installs to your own user folder, so it won't ask for admin permissions, and it'll create a Start Menu shortcut automatically.
What are the system requirements?
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. SyncPoint runs quietly in the background alongside whatever you're playing, so it doesn't need much — a few hundred MB of RAM and minimal CPU during normal use.
Windows showed a warning when I tried to install or run it — is this safe?
Yes. SyncPoint is signed with a legitimate code-signing certificate, but as newer software it can still occasionally trigger Windows SmartScreen or Defender warnings until it builds up more reputation with Microsoft. If you see a "Windows protected your PC" prompt, click More info, then Run anyway. If something seems more serious than a standard first-run warning, reach out — see Contact below.
Do I need an account to use SyncPoint?
Yes, a free account is required even for the Starter tier — this is what keeps your settings and usage synced if you ever reinstall or switch machines. Sign up here, it takes a few seconds.

Using SyncPoint

How do I open Velis?
Press your hotkey (Ctrl+Alt+V by default) any time while gaming. A small floating pill appears — click it, or press the hotkey again, to open the full panel and ask a question.
What's the difference between Compact and Expanded view?
Compact is a small panel that stays out of the way — good for quick questions mid-game. Expanded is a larger view with full navigation (Ask, Squad, History). Switch between them anytime, and set your preferred default under Settings → Appearance.
Can I change the hotkey?
Yes — Settings → Hotkey lets you pick from several presets or set your own combination.
SyncPoint detected the wrong game, or I want to ask about a game I'm not currently playing
Turn off auto-detect using the lock icon next to the game name (or in Settings → Features), and you can type or select any game manually — including ones you're not currently running.

Account & Billing

How do I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Go to your account page and choose a new plan. Changes take effect immediately, and billing is prorated automatically.
How do I cancel my subscription?
From your account page, choose Manage billing and cancel from there. You'll keep access through the end of your current billing period, then automatically drop to the free Starter tier.
I just upgraded, but the app still shows my old plan
SyncPoint checks for plan changes automatically every couple of minutes, so it should catch up on its own shortly. If it's been longer than that, try closing and reopening the app.
How do I change my password?
Use the forgot password link from the sign-in page, even if you remember your current one — it'll email you a reset link.

Troubleshooting

SyncPoint won't open, or shows an error on launch
First, try reinstalling with the latest installer from Get Started — this resolves the large majority of launch issues. If it still won't open afterward, reach out with a description of what you're seeing (a screenshot helps a lot) — see Contact below.
An update didn't seem to install correctly
Check Settings — your current version number is shown at the bottom, in both Compact and Expanded view. If it doesn't match the latest version from Get Started, try reinstalling directly with the latest installer rather than waiting for the in-app update.
The app seems frozen or unresponsive
Close it fully (right-click the tray icon and choose Quit, or end it from Task Manager if needed) and relaunch. If this happens repeatedly, please let us know what you were doing right before it happened — see Contact below.
